CTSI Announces Publication of New Educational Supply Chain Book

MEMPHIS, TN - June 21, 2006.

CTSI announced the release of a 62-page book entitled The Role of Freight Bill Payment and Transportation Management in the Supply Chain Industry.

Written by J. Kenneth Hazen, President and CEO of CTSI, with Clifford F. Lynch, this book provides an industry overview along with helpful information for those firms seeking to optimize their freight bill payment and transportation management systems including the most important checklist and RFP questions.

In the 1980's, supply chain executives focused primarily on just the physical movement and management of inventory.  In the 1990's the focus expanded as supply chain professionals realized that the information that travels alongside the physical shipment can be just as important, or more, than the shipment itself.

In the 2000's Sarbanes Oxley has shined the light on the fact that the financial supply chain is equally important to the physical and information flows.  This book is designed to help promote a better understanding of how supply chain and purchasing professionals can better manage all three parallel supply chain flows - physical, information, and financial.

A complimentary copy of the book may be obtained by visiting www.ctsi-global.com or contacting Misty Farmer at mistyf@ctsi-global.com.
